(taunton, ma. usa)

trout stream.

i stand in a stream, facing the wind

in the cool air, i wish the sun in,

it's this time of year, to drop a line in

maybe this time my trout ,i will win.

my pole, my line, my array of tiny flies

the water, so cold. i picture a fight

a rainbow, a brown, a brook i might, reel

it in. my dinner tonight.
