George Rucker's November 1, 2016

Here we are on the first Tuesday of November,

Sorry, but only a little bit, about putting in those Wikileak web address in my last letter but I am upset that the major news channels and newspapers are not reporting some major problems about whom I think will be our next president, while we are talking about groping that happened 37 years ago.  Well at least I did my part.

Last weeks letter, however did get me a bunch of emails responses.  Here is one that is very funny, or as some would say LMAO in text speak.

WASHINGTON REDSKINS TO FINALLY DROP OFFENSIVE NAME

Dan Snyder, owner of the NFL Redskins, has announced that the team is dropping " Washington " from the team name, and it will henceforth be simply known as, "The Redskins."

It was reported that he finds the word "Washington" imparts a negative image of poor leadership, mismanagement, corruption, cheating, lying, and graft, and is not a fitting role-model for young fans of football.

On 22 October 2015 the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) issued a press release titled "Jury Awards $240,000 to Muslim Truck Drivers In EEOC Religious Discrimination Suit," outlining the terms of the case:

A federal jury in Peoria, Ill., has awarded $240,000 to two Somalian-American Muslims who were fired from their jobs as truck drivers at Star Transport, an over-the-road trucking company, when they refused to transport alcohol because it violated their religious beliefs, according to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), which brought the case. Judge James E. Shadid, the chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois, found in favor of EEOC after Star Transport admitted liability in March 2015. The resulting trial was to determine compensatory and punitive damages and back pay. The jury awarded Mahad Abass Mohamed and Abdkiarim Hassan Bulshale $20,000 each in compensatory damages and $100,000 each in punitive damages. Judge Shadid awarded each approximately $1,500 in back pay.

EEOC alleged that in 2009, Star Transport fired Mohamed and Bulshale after they were required to transport alcohol. Both men told Star Transport that they believed doing so would violate their religious beliefs under Islamic law.

EEOC also alleged that Star Transport could have but failed to accommodate the truckers' religious beliefs, as required by Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. EEOC filed suit (EEOC  vs. Star Transport, Inc., No. 13-cv-1240) in U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois in Peoria in May 2013.

I think this is a crock, if a Christian baker must make a cake for a gay wedding because of the U.S. laws then two American born Muslims must deliver beer for the same reason.  We are not under Sharia Law and hopefully never will.

Naked Cowboy

A Sheriff in a small town in Texas walks out in the street and sees a blond haired cowboy coming toward him with nothing on but his cowboy hat, his gun and his boots. He arrests him for indecent exposure.

As he is locking him up, he asks 'Why in the world are you walking around like this?'

The cowboy says, 'Well it's like this Sheriff ......

I was in this bar down the road and this pretty little red head asks me to go out to her motor home with her. So I did.

We go inside and she pulls off her top and asks me to pull off my shirt... So I did.

Then she pulls off her skirt and asks me to pull off my pants.... So I did.

Then she pulls off her panties and asks me to pull off my shorts...so I did.

Then she gets on the bed and looks at me kind of sexy and says, 'Now go to town, cowboy.. '

'And here I am.'

Sneaking in my invention corner once again.  This week’s invention is ‘Steel.’

“Steel” today means much more than just the name of a widely used metal construction material.  It is synonym for strength – for example.  Superman is called “the Man of Steel.” and the expression “steel yourself”encourages people to summon up their internal strength for a challenge.

To make steel, iron ore in first mined from the ground, then smelted under high heat in a blast furnace to remove impurities.  Blast furnaces are huge steel cauldrons lined with heat resistant bricks.  The temperature at the bottom of the blast furnace usually reaches more than 3000 degrees Fahrenheit.  The impurities, or slag, float on the top of the molten iron ore and drain off leaving pig iron, or pure molten iron.  Steelmakers then add carbon for flexibility and various other alloys to make the different grades of steel for various industrial uses.

Steel has been around since antiquity.  The earliest known production occurred at an archaeological site that flourished more than 4,000 years ago in what is now Turkey.  In artifacts from ancient times, steel appears primarily as a material in weapons, as it helped metal workers create swords and other tools that were lighter, stronger and more flexible than those made from iron alone.  For example, the Roman army carried steel swords, and the legendary swords used by Japanese Samurai warriors were also handcrafted out of steel.

Modern steelmaking began with the introduction of Henry Bessemer’s “Bessemer process” in 1855.  Bessemer’s method, still used today, allowing steelmakers to produce cheaply in large quantities, thus expanding use of the metal in industry and construction.

A Bessemer converter removes impurities from iron by blowing air through the molten metal.  The oxidizing process is performed in a oval-shaped steel container lined with clay or the mineral dolomite.

Reportedly, a woman was flying from Seattle to  San   Francisco .

Unexpectedly, the plane was diverted to  Sacramento along the way.

The flight attendant explained that there would be a delay, and if the passengers wanted to get off the aircraft the plane would re-board in 50 minutes...

Everybody got off the plane except one lady who was blind.

A man had noticed her as he walked by and could tell the lady was blind because her guide dog lay quietly underneath the seats in front of her throughout the entire flight..

He could also tell she had flown this very flight before because the pilot approached her, and calling her by name, said,  "Kathy , we are in  Sacramento    for almost an hour. Would you like to get off and stretch your legs?"

The blind lady said,  "No thanks, but maybe   Buddy would like to stretch his legs."

Picture this:

All the people in the gate area came to a complete stand still when they looked up and saw the pilot walk off the plane with a guide dog for the blind!

Even worse, the pilot was wearing sunglasses !

People scattered.  They not only tried to change planes, but they were trying to change airlines!

True story..... Have a great day and remember.....

THINGS AREN'T ALWAYS AS THEY APPEAR.  A DAY WITHOUT LAUGHTER IS A DAY WASTED.

     Prayer...

Thought you might enjoy this interesting.

A prayer given in Kansas at the opening session of their Senate. It seems prayer still upsets some people…

When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate,  everyone was expecting the usual generalities, but this is what they heard:

Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance.

We know Your Word says, "Woe to those who call evil good," but that is exactly what we have done.

We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.

We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.

We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.

We have killed our unborn and called it choice.

We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.

We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self-esteem..
We have abused power and called it politics.

We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.

We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.

We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free.

     Amen!

The response was immediate. A number of legislators walked out during the prayer in protest.

In 6 short weeks, Central Christian Church, where Rev. Wright is pastor, logged more than 5,000 phone calls with only 47 of those calls responding negatively..

The church is now receiving international requests for copies of this prayer from India, Africa and Korea .

With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called 'one nation under God.'

If possible, please pass this prayer on to your friends.

"If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything."

Think about this: If you forward this prayer to everyone on your e-mail list, in less than 30 days it would be heard by the entire world.

The USS Constitution - known as "Old Ironsides" - is the world's oldest commissioned warship still afloat. She saw action in America's Revolutionary War and the War of 1812. The ship brings history to life as it is being refurbished at Charlestown Navy Yard in Boston.

This is also where my Destroyer Escort was decommissioned.

In the sea of mostly tired reruns circulating the Internet, occasionally a gem surfaces. This video of a Fireworks Show in China is a treat for the eyes.

Less than 2 minutes in length but with shapes that I've never seen before.  This Hunan Province town is where fireworks were invented and the show has never been equaled in the West.

Be sure to enlarge your screen to max to take full advantage of the colors, sequence timing of denotations, various shapes, and amaze of pyrotechnic devises that had to be used for the event.   Fireworks dates back to 7th century China where they were invented and eventually spread to other cultures and societies.  The Chinese are not only the inventors of fireworks, they are still the masters:

I am skeptical that some of the shapes are possible, especially the hearts and what looks like Saturn’s rings.  This is three years old and you can link to a recent one with northern lights in the background.

It is time for a letter recipe, with the holidays coming and cranberries being harvested this should be pretty good.  It does need to be made the day before for flavors to meld and gets 4.5 stars from reviewers on www.allrecipes.com.

After reading the reviews, complaints came from many who used the top of the stove and some who found that they needed extra time to cook, mostly 10 to 15 minutes more.  A few just do not like nuts and did not use them but would give five stars if nuts were omitted from the recipe.  I think I will try this recipe.

Cranberry Dip

"The color of this dip is very festive and would make a nice addition to any snack or appetizer table at your next holiday party."
Ingredients

1 (12 ounce) package fresh cranberries
    1 cup white sugar
    1 cup apricot jam
    1 cup chopped pecans
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese

Directions

Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Combine cranberries with sugar in a 2 quart baking dish with a lid, stirring well to coat all the berries. Bake in the preheated oven, covered, for about 30 minutes, until the cranberries pop and release their liquid.
Remove from oven and stir in the apricot jam and pecans. Refrigerate overnight to blend the flavors. To serve, allow the cream cheese to come to room temperature, and pour dip over the block of cream cheese on a serving dish. Serve with buttery round crackers or small pretzels.

READ THIS TO THE END.    IT IS VERY INTERESTING!!

Wal-Mart vs. The Morons
1. Americans spend $36,000,000 at Wal-Mart Every hour of every day.
2. This works out to $20,928 profit every minute!
3. Wal-Mart will sell more from January 1 to St. Patrick's Day (March   17th) than Target sells all year.
4. Wal-Mart is bigger than Home Depot + Kroger + Target +Sears + Costco + K-Mart combined.
5. Wal-Mart employs 1.6 million people, is the world's largest private   employer, and most speak English.
6. Wal-Mart is the largest company in the history of the world.
7. Wal-Mart now sells more food than Kroger and Safeway combined, and   keep in mind they did this in only fifteen years.
8. During this same period, 31 big supermarket chains sought   bankruptcy.
9. Wal-Mart now sells more food than any other store in the world.
10. Wal-Mart has approx 3,900 stores in the USA of which 1,906 are   Super Centers; this is 1,000 more than it had five years ago.
11. This year 7.2 billion different purchasing experiences will occur   at Wal-Mart stores. (Earth's population is approximately 6.5 Billion.)
12. 90% of all Americans live within fifteen miles of a Wal-Mart.

You may think that I am complaining, but I am really laying the ground   work for suggesting that MAYBE we should hire the guys who run Wal-Mart   to fix the economy.

This should be read and understood by all Americans... Democrats,   Republicans, EVERYONE!!

I would like to add in here that this VERY MUCH pertains to the Canadians as well..... so well written!

To President Obama and all 535 voting members of the Legislature, it is now official that the majority of you are corrupt morons:

a.  The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775. You have had 234 years to get it right and it is broke.

b. Social Security was established in 1935. You have had 81 years to get it right and it is broke.

c. Fannie Mae was established in 1938. You have had 77 years to get it right and it is broke.

d. War on Poverty started in 1964. You have had 52 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to "the poor" and they only want more.

e. Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965. You have had 51 years to get it right and they are broke.

f. Freddie Mac was established in 1970. You have had 46 years to get it right and it is broke.

g. The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a budget of $24 billion a year and we import more oil than ever before. You had 39 years to get it right and it is an abysmal failure.

You have FAILED in every "government service" you have shoved down our throats while overspending our tax dollars.

AND YOU WANT AMERICANS TO BELIEVE YOU CAN BE TRUSTED WITH A GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM??

Folks, keep this circulating. It is very well stated. Maybe it will end up in the e-mails of some of our "duly elected' (they never read anything) and their staff will clue them in on how Americans feel.

AND

I know what's wrong. We have lost our minds to "Political Correctness"  !!

Someone please tell me what is wrong with all the people that run this country!!!!!!

We're "broke" and can't help our own Seniors, Veterans, Orphans, Homeless etc. and the last months we have provided aid to Haiti , Chile , and Turkey and now Pakistan literally, BILLIONS of DOLLARS!!!

Our retired seniors living on a 'fixed income' receive no aid nor do they get any breaks.

AMERICA: a country where we have homeless without shelter, children going to bed hungry, elderly going without needed medicines, and mentally ill without treatment, etc.

Imagine if the GOVERNMENT gave U. S. the same support they give to other countries. Sad isn't it?

*99% of the people receiving this message won't have the guts to forward this.

*I'm one of the 1% -- I Just Did.  BEING UNITED SAVES AMERICA !

I like the list of 13 things that I as a citizen want.

This is why Trump is zooming ahead. He is at least talking about issues that most       Americans are concerned about.  My mantra about Trump is this:  We are usually in agreement with most of what he says but wish someone else was saying it. We are getting older and our tickers aren't what they used to be...so here is Our Special Bucket List for 2015,16....

        HERE IS WHAT WE WANT.

        1.  Hillary: in prison!

        2. Put "GOD" back in America !!!

        3. Borders: Closed!

        4. Congress: On the same retirement & healthcare plans as everybody else .

        5. Congress: Obey its own laws NOW!

        6. Language: English only!

        7. Culture: Constitution and the Bill of Rights!

        8. Drug Free: Mandatory Drug Screening before & during Welfare!

        9. Freebies: NONE to Non-Citizens!

        10. Budget: Balance the damn thing!

        11. Foreign Countries: Stop giving them our money! Charge them for our help!         We need it here.

        12. Fix the TAX CODE!

         13. "RESPECT OUR MILITARY AND OUR FLAG!!"

We the people are coming! Only 86% will send this on. Should be a 100%.  What will you do?
That be all. . . GeorgeAttachments areaPreview YouTube video New Years 2013 - Synchronized Epic Music (Heart of Courage) - FWSim Fireworks Display - HDNew Years 2013 - Synchronized Epic Music (Heart of Courage) - FWSim Fireworks Display - HD
